Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai fighter from Peru, and mixed martial arts athlete fighting for the UFC at the flyweight division,, is a Kyrgyzstani. She is older than fellow UFC Fighter and former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's combat sport career started with her debut as an Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina continued to win with a silver-medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008 a gold medal in 2011 and the year-end 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia, who began her professional journey at the age of three, was awarded in 2012 and the 2016 International Lion Fight Lightweight championships. In 2016, the WMC World Championships also held in 2016 and she was crowned the 2016 IFMA Muay Thai World Champion. Antonina's final bout took place at Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She won by a unanimous decision. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut took place in 2002 at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan where she was matched against Anara Bayanova. She took the fight with a TKO in round 2 and the two subsequent matches were held at the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko stopped fighting to pursue kickboxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui at Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko defeated Anissa in an unanimous decision. She then went on to knock out Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She joined the Dana White Contender Series 2018 following the departure of the league. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's superior strike skills let her TKO Nievera via knees in the lower body. In the aftermath of this victory, Antonina was offered an UFC contract. Antonina Shychenko debuted for the UFC at TUF's Heavy Hitters finals, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi in a split-decision fight, after prevailing in the initial fight by unanimity. Antonina was able to bounce back from the defeat by beating Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler by a rear-naked choke submission. The result earned her the bonus of a fight-of-the night. Shevchenko was a 1-2 winner during her subsequent three bouts she lost to Ariane Lipski before losing to Katlyn Chookagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
