Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, jazz and soul in the style that is his own. From Broadway to European music festivals and clubs Avery Sunshine has been a hit all over the world. Her real name is Denise White. While she's based in Atlanta however, her roots lie located in Chester Pennsylvania. There she first began to develop the musical profession by as a singer and pianist at the church. The musical journey began for her in Atlanta in Spellman College. The band was hired as the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's musical Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 to serve as Choral Director of Dreamgirls, the theatre production at Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was the subject of national media attention due to her several performances throughout the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was invited to perform at President Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
